About the role.
The Senior Customer Service Representative will manage and oversee the full order-to-cash cycle, ensuring efficient processes, strong controls, and timely collections. This role plays a key part in mentoring junior team members, resolving complex disputes, and driving continuous improvements to support business growth and working capital optimization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and perform end-to-end O2C operations, including order management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
- Prepare and review AR aging reports, drive effective collection strategies, and actively reduce DSO.
- Manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships, resolve escalated disputes, and negotiate payment terms.
- Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, internal controls, accounting standards, IFRS, and tax requirements.
- Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives across O2C activities.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting to senior management.
- Train, coach, and mentor junior O2C specialists to build a high-performing team.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Logistics, Treasury, and Tax.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native/fluent in German both verbal and written (C2 level). Fluent in English (C1 level)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 5–7 years of experience in O2C, Accounts Receivable, or finance operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong expertise in O2C processes, financial controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday.
- Experience working in global environments with multi-currency transactions.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
