Job Position: PADI Instructor
The Instructor is responsible for the safe conduct of the diving operation and shall coordinate and conduct the activities of all their divers and student divers. A designated Instructor/Divemaster must be present at every diving activity. Instructor reports to Dive Team Leader. The Instructor must comply with all duties and responsibilities in this document but not limited to it.
Competency
The Instructor must:
Hold and maintain current PADI professional rating renewed and in teaching status.
Hold current certificate to give and train first aid, CPR including oxygen administration.
Be able to effectively provide information and advice to divers.
Have significant experience and knowledge of the dive sites to be able to assess changing marine hazards.
Be able to effectively guide and train divers.
Perform free scuba diving demostrations in the hotel swimming pools.
Follow the dress code of the Company.
Selected candidates will have company training before starting the job.

Duties and responsibilities
To work as a member of the team guiding fun dives with certified divers and depending on his/her level of certification, conduct PADI courses and programs at various levels as specified in the PADI instructor manuals.
Be familiar with and follow ScubaCaribe standards, PADI standards, and local regulations.
Comply with the activity plan scheduled as instructed by the Dive Team Leader.
Check and control good diving equipment function used by himself and divers under its responsibility before each dive. Participate actively in diving equipment preventive maintenance.
Monitor and report on the correct implementation of safety measures during underwater activities. Offer necessary instructions for the captain in the diving areas.
Know diving sites' bottoms & peculiarities and stand for their conservation.
Responsible for the daily preparation of documentation logistics & equipment established for divers and student divers.
Offer diving briefing and debriefing, as stated in the Operations Manual.
Conduct dives according to the diver level, always within the safety curve, ScubaCaribe standards, and PADI standards.
Offer diving demonstrations in a safe and quality manner as stated in the Operations Manual.
Promote sales related to diving, snorkeling, and water sports services continuously in a professional manner.
Comply with the Company’s Appearance and Conduct Code.
Mandatory personal SCUBA equipment - (If the personal diving equipment is not completed it can be purchased through the company and be paid in the next agreed months).
1. Diving mask, 2. Diving fins, 3. Snorkel, 4. Regulator with the second stage and second alternative stage (octopus), 5. Pressure gauge, 6. Wet suit, 7. Buoyancy control device (BCD), 8. Dive computer, 9. Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) with reel, 10. Underwater acoustic signal device, 11. Surface acoustic signal device, 12. Diving knife, 13. Current confined and open water PADI instructor cue cards.
