As a TradeChoice Transport Supervisor, you will:

  • Carry out/support pre-brief & debriefs at the start and end of shift.
  • Manage driver performance to achieve excellent customer service, ensuring high satisfaction and delivery accuracy.
  • Ensure product returns procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure all relevant information is recorded for transport KPIs.
  • Liaise with the Transport Manager to plan inbound trunking.
  • Liaise with the Branch team to resolve any customer issues.
  • Arrange (or assist with arranging) service and maintenance of vehicles in line with legal requirements.
  • Support in managing and monitor driver hours in line with DVSA/working time directive.
  • Assist in managing transport documentation in line with relevant legislation, and in preparation for transport audits.
  • Investigate driver incident reports, undertaking investigations when required.
  • Attend daily & weekly teams meetings to discuss performance, plans & targets for the branch transport plan
  • Promote health and safety, leading by example.

Your working pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 6:30am to 3pm
  • 30-minute Break


  • Experience of performance management and development.
  • Basic knowledge of risk assessment/H&S principles.
  • Competent in technology, systems and databases (desirable).
  • Experience Supply Chain systems (e.g. Descartes) (desirable).
  • Good leadership and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable lifting, moving and carrying items up to approx. 25kg
  • Able to delegate workload (desirable)
  • Reach/Counterbalance FLT Licence (desirable)
