Freelance Solar Design Engineer

Hiring: Freelance Solar Design Engineer (PEE, REE, or RME)

Must be based in or near San Isidro, Nueva Ecija

>About Us:

Nueva Energy Solar is a fast-growing solar provider based in Nueva Ecija, delivering high-quality solar PV solutions for homes and businesses. We are looking for a licensed Solar Design Engineer to support our projects on a freelance, on-call basis.

>Role Summary:

As a project-based contractor, you will assist with solar PV system designs, technical documentation, and utility compliance. While most work can be done remotely, you must be willing to report to our San Isidro, Nueva Ecija office when necessary (e.g., document signing, team meetings, or plan revisions).

>Key Responsibilities:

Design solar PV systems (3100 kWp or above) using AutoCAD and design tools

Prepare single-line diagrams, load schedules, system sizing, and PE computations

Ensure designs comply with DU, NEECO II, ERC, PEC, and net metering standards

Sign and stamp technical documents (for licensed REE/PEE)

Coordinate with project managers and field engineers

Attend office meetings in San Isidro when required

>Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Valid PRC license required PEE, REE, or RME

Must be located in or near San Isidro, Nueva Ecija

Must be willing to report to the office when needed

Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and solar design tools (PVsyst, SketchUp, etc.)

Has stable internet and can work independently on remote tasks

Experience in solar PV design, load computations, and electrical permitting is a plus

Work Type: Independent Contractor / Project-Based

Schedule: On-call / per-project basis

Compensation: Per-project rate, based on scope and license

Location: Mostly remote, with occasional office visits in San Isidro
