About the job Microsoft Engineer
As a Microsoft Engineer you have System Engineer responsibilities, that relate to the delivery of quality IT services on time.
You will perform system administration activities such as:
o Deployments, configuration and troubleshooting of OS.
o MS Office Suite installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
o System / Network monitoring and troubleshooting.
Besides, you will:
- Assist with helpdesk functions as needed, such as responding to tickets, providing desktop support in a mostly windows environment and providing support in creating emails accounts and user password resets etc.
- Solve primary problems with existent network, WIFI and IP phone systems for clients (internal/external);
- On-site support at clients headquarters (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
Technical related responsibilities:
- Decide upon all technical related matters that your team encounters and cannot decide/resolve by themselves;
- Provide technical coaching to individual team members; exert technical influence over the team, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your knowledge and experience; support them in technical growth and personal development;
- Clarify, prioritize and negotiate client requests and deliverables;
- Collaborate with all involved parties, including other Team Leads / Delivery Manager and other team members, to clarify aspects related to IT components that are interfaced;
- Perform deep dives into IT problems, finding true root causes and devising solutions;
Tech skills:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on system administration experience is required.
- Experience with Azure Cloud.
- Experience in Windows/Mac systems administration (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting);
- Experience in managing Microsoft Office Suite (installation, configuration, troubleshooting);
- Familiarity in configuring emails (EXCHANGE, Office365, POP3, IMAP, SMTP)
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Fileserver and networking;
- Knowledge in IT hardware administration (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting);
- Microsoft Certifications.
- Microsoft Azure Certifications.
- Cloud Certifications.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
