About the job Area Sales Manager (Oil and Gas)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets in the assigned area.
- Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities across the Oil & Gas sector, with expanded focus on adjacent industries including Petrochemicals, Chemicals, and other industrial markets.
- Manage and grow relationships with key clients, EPCs, distributors, and end-users.
- Lead and support a team of sales representatives, providing coaching and performance management.
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industry is an advantage
- Strong technical understanding of industrial products, systems, or services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with EPCs, refineries, chemical plants, or industrial service providers.
- Knowledge of process equipment, instrumentation, or specialty chemicals.
- Proficiency in English is required; fluency in German or other languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with regional market dynamics and regulatory frameworks
