About the Client

Our client is a MedTech company specializing in medical devices and healthcare solutions. For 2026, the client is building an independent maintenance team responsible for supporting and ensuring the smooth operation of various Data Products and platform topics within the SAP BW ecosystem.

We are seeking two SAP BW professionals (2 FTE) to join this dedicated team.

Role Overview

The SAP BW Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for daily operational monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization within SAP BW and SAP HANA environments. The role involves proactive system maintenance, issue resolution, user support, and continuous improvement to ensure system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

Daily operational tasks will include:

  • Monitoring Process Chains and addressing any failed or delayed runs.

  • Supporting end users with Query Design and Analysis for Office adjustments.
  • Verifying Calculation Views in SAP HANA for accuracy and performance.

  • Reviewing and adjusting User Authorizations as required.

  • Managing and resolving ServiceNow tickets.

  • Tracking progress on the DevOps Maintenance Board.

  • Investigating and correcting failed data loads or process steps.

  • Optimizing reports and queries to meet evolving business needs.

  • Providing system know-how and troubleshooting support for SAP BW users.

  • Monitoring and applying relevant SAP patches or OSS Notes.

  • Performing user management (creation, updates, deletions).

  • Coaching end users on system functionality and self-service usage.

  • Participating in daily stand-ups and ensuring proactive communication within the team.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Strong experience with SAP BW and SAP HANA

  • Expertise in Process Chains, Query Design, and Calculation Views

  • Experience with Analysis for Office and User Authorization management
  • Knowledge of data load monitoring, report optimization, and patch management

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English mandatory)

  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach

Nice to have:

  • German language skills

  • Experience with ServiceNow and DevOps environments

  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks

  • Background in Production or Retail industries
