About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading European manufacturer of pet food for dogs and cats. With a strong international presence and a continuous focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability, the company is expanding its operations in Romania and is looking to strengthen its finance team by hiring a Senior Economist.

Key Responsibilities

• Record invoices received from domestic and international suppliers;

• Manage fixed assets accounting;

• Record receipts and payments in RON and foreign currencies based on bank statements;

• Process cash advances and related expense reports;

• Prepare reports and statements specific to financial and accounting activities;

• Prepare reports for state institutions (AFM, INTRASTAT, National Bank of Romania – BNR, Statistics Office);

• Prepare and submit reports and declarations to ANAF (forms: 100, 300, 390, 394, SAF-T).

Job Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of accounting;

• Good understanding of financial and accounting legislation;

• Knowledge of inventory and economic management;

• Knowledge of import–export and customs operations;

• Strong computer skills;

• Experience working with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 F&O is an advantage);

• English language proficiency at an intermediate level;

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Work Location & Schedule

• Work locations:

  • Initially: Buftea site, Ilfov County;

  • Subsequently, after completion of the new factory: Răcari site, Dâmbovița County.

• Working schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, on-site presence required.
