Sales Director Eastern Europe
As part of our continued investment in Eastern Europe, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Director to take ownership of our sales operations in Eastern Europe, with a focus on Romania and Hungary, while identifying and developing new market opportunities in the broader region.
In this key sales role, you will drive sales growth, intensify existing partnerships, and expand our business in Eastern Europe. You will act as the Managing Director's and group CCO's trusted right hand, providing strategic oversight and ensuring that our sales initiatives align with the companys long-term vision for the region.
Function
- Lead and expand sales - You take ownership of the sales strategy for Romania and Hungary, driving revenue growth and strengthening our presence. You proactively identify new business opportunities and ensure sustainable market expansion. Following countries are in scope: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia.
- Business Development - You proactively explore potential markets in Eastern Europe, both within the existing markets and in potential new territories. You analyze emerging trends and market demands, identifying untapped potential. By attending key industry events, you enhance brand visibility, expand your network, and open doors to new opportunities.
- Cross-selling and upselling - You leverage existing relationships and product synergies to create new opportunities, enhance customer loyalty, increase revenue, and maximize business potential.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement - You track key sales metrics, analyze results, and adjust strategies accordingly. You also report on progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that our sales efforts remain agile and competitive.
- Provide strategic insights and sales forecasts - You assess market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activities to gain valuable insights. You translate data into actionable strategies, helping shape the companys long-term sales direction.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team - You coach and inspire your team, providing guidance and setting clear performance objectives to ensure success in a dynamic market.
- Expand market share and enhance collaboration - You drive revenue growth, set pricing strategies, and align sales efforts with company objectives. You collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations to ensure your strategies meet customer needs and market trends.
Profile
To succeed in this role, we seek a dynamic and results-driven sales professional with a strategic mindset and a proven track record in business expansion. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong background in sales leadership, business development, or commercial management within Eastern Europe.
- Demonstrated experience in market expansion, sales strategy execution, and new business acquisition.
- A helicopter view of the market, with the ability to anticipate trends, identify opportunities, and implement high-impact sales strategies.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to foster long-term partnerships.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of sales growth and market positioning in the region.
- Fluency in English (proficiency in Romanian and/or Hungarian is a significant advantage).
- A results-oriented, hands-on approach, with a drive for excellence and business success. You can define long-term sales strategies while actively involved in daily execution.
