IT&Compliance Expert

Job brief

We are seeking an IT&Compliance Expert to strengthen our internal operations and governance. This role will ensure that our technology environment, data practices, and internal processes meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and efficiency.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with GDPR, related data protection and cybersecurity regulations across Belgium, Romania, and Spain, and supporting the management team with contract and vendor reviews. Ideally, you bring a strong IT background making you a bridge between technology, people, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the company's IT landscape including tools, systems access, licenses, and infrastructure management.
• Define and implement IT policies covering security, data protection, access control, and business continuity.
• Coordinate periodic compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Act as the internal point of contact for IT security, privacy, and compliance questions.
• Manage vendor relationships related to IT services, cloud platforms, and software providers.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper access rights and data governance.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, NIS2 Directive, and local data protection laws in Belgium, Romania, and Spain.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team to align technology, process, and policy requirements across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT administration, information security, or compliance management (consulting or multi-country environment is a plus).
• Technical proficiency with common business tools and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, OpenAI, etc.).
• Ability to translate complex IT concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and reliability.
• Strong understanding of o365 environment, Azure knowledge would be a plus
• Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English (upper-intermediate or higher); knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, or Romanian is a plus.
