About the job Security Manager
The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of Transmars employees, facilities, cargo, vessels, and information. The role involves developing and implementing security strategies that align with shipping and logistics regulations, while coordinating with governmental authorities, ports, and law enforcement agencies
Develop and implement security policies and procedures that comply with maritime, port, and logistics regulations.
Oversee all aspects of physical security for offices, warehouses, terminals, vessels, and transport routes.
Manage and supervise the security team, including guards and contracted security services.
Conduct risk assessments for shipping operations, cargo handling, and facility access points.
Monitor and maintain security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, tracking devices).
Coordinate security operations with port authorities, customs, and other governmental agencies.
Investigate incidents such as theft, cargo loss, or breaches of security, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and maintain emergency response and crisis management plans, including for maritime threats.
Ensure compliance with international shipping security standards (e.g., ISPS Code) and local laws.
Train employees on security protocols, awareness, and incident reporting procedures.
Prepare regular reports on security performance, risk assessments, and compliance status for senior management.
Minimum 7 years of experience in security management, preferably within shipping, logistics, or port operations.
Strong understanding of port security protocols, maritime regulations, and cargo protection measures.
