Rumi is a $100M+ funded neobank transforming consumer and business finance in Mexico and Latin America, building banking, point-of-sale lending and merchant tools on top of a regulated Mexican bank license.

The Role

Rumi is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (4-8+ years) as one of its first engineering hires in San Francisco. You will own features end to end across greenfield products, from a merchant operating system (payroll, point of sale, inventory) to an AI-powered WhatsApp financial assistant.

What You Will Do

• Build and own full-stack features from UI to backend to deployment across banking, merchant and consumer products.
• Architect and scale services for lending, payments, pay-in/payout and ledger systems.
• Build SMB workflow tools (payroll, point of sale, inventory) integrated with a regulated bank.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate the development lifecycle on a modern TypeScript and React stack.
• Ship rapidly with product, design and a small engineering team.

What You Bring

• 4-8+ years as a full-stack engineer
• Production TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Experience with SQL databases and message queues
• Comfort owning greenfield products end to end

Nice to Have

• Payments, ledger or lending systems
• Spanish language skills
