CT/X-ray Tech

Position Summary:  The CT/X-ray Tech is responsible for producing high-quality CT and radiographic images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This position requires an understanding of the human anatomy, the ability to operate complex machinery, and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
2. Operate CT and X-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images, ensuring the safety of patients.
3. Adhere to radiation safety procedures for patients, self, and coworkers.
4. Review and select high-quality images to provide to radiologists for interpretation.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and document the details of procedures.
6. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to discuss imaging procedures and results.
7. Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report malfunctions promptly.
8. Stay updated with current advancements in radiographic technology.
9. Assist in the training and mentoring of new technicians or students.
10. Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
2. Valid state radiologic technologist license.
3. Certification in computed tomography (CT) is a plus.
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection.
