Industrial Mechanic Millwright

Position: Industrial Millwright (Gas Plant)

About the Role: Our client is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join their maintenance team at our gas plant facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a wide variety of machinery and mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manuals to determine work procedures.
• Use precision tools and instruments to measure parts for wear and determine necessary adjustments.
• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure maximum efficiency of equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve plant reliability and performance.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report all unsafe activities to the supervisor.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to keep skills and knowledge up to date.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Industrial Millwright, preferably in a gas plant or similar industrial setting.
• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or possession of a Millwright certificate.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and understand complex mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in various conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments.
• Availability for shift work, overtime, and on-call duties as required.
