Compensation: $145,000 - $165,000 annually with bonus opportunities
Position Overview:
Step into a pivotal role as our Operations Director Manufacturing Facility and lead the helm of our site operations. This role isn't just about overseeing the daily functions of the plant; it's about molding a future where safety, quality, and productivity are at the core of every decision. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of ownership, proactive stewardship, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Champion a culture where the safety and well-being of our employees are paramount. Lead and refine plant safety programs to ensure strict adherence.
- Food Safety & Quality: Uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality, promptly addressing any practices that might compromise it.
- Operational Excellence: Offer leadership and direction to ensure smooth plant operations, compliance with internal and corporate procedures, customer specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Team Development: Drive growth by providing consistent coaching and mentorship to plant staff, shaping future leaders.
- Project Oversight: Spearhead capital projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Performance Enhancement: Continuously refine processes, aiming to exceed plant KPIs, address operational bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
- Financial Stewardship: Implement both financial and non-financial objectives, ensuring the facility's profitability and sustainability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Proven experience in food manufacturing with a preference for those with USDA exposure.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a recognized institution, with preference for majors in Food Science, Engineering, or Management. Master's Degree in Engineering or Management is an advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in operations management and a proven record of achieving performance against comprehensive KPIs.
- Exceptional problem-solving acumen.
- Proven ability to analyze trends, pinpointing areas of improvement to ensure consistent performance.
