Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Safety Specialist and be at the forefront of ensuring our workplace remains safe and compliant. As the backbone of our commitment to safety, you'll drive proactive measures, foster a culture of safety, and ensure that our practices always reflect the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Audits: Regularly assess worksites to pinpoint risks and confirm regulatory adherence.
  • Risk Management: Craft and roll out effective strategies to minimize or eradicate potential hazards.
  • Safety Training: Lead critical programs such as lockout/tagout and fire protection, ensuring both understanding and application.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of regulatory changes and ensure our SOPs are always up to date.
  • Incident Investigations: Delve deep into workplace accidents and grievances to uncover root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Routine Oversight: Ensure all safety protocols and actions are timely, consistent, and effective.
  • Employee Advocacy: Be the go-to for employee safety suggestions, concerns, and resolutions. Your door is always open.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Oversee injury reporting and facilitate the Workers Compensation process.
  • Committee Leadership: Direct and inspire as the head of Safety Committee meetings.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Proven industry experience can be an alternative.
  • Compliance mastery specific to our industry.
  • BCSP certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish highly desired.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail, combined with the capability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
