Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: New Hampton, Iowa

Job Summary:
Electrical Technician plays a critical role in our industrial manufacturing plant, performing a variety of functions related to electrical controls, equipment, and wiring. This position involves testing, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical components to ensure optimal plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement new and used equipment, process improvements, and building enhancements in a timely manner.
2. Utilize expertise in robotic automation to support plant operations effectively.
3. Create PLC programs and integration systems for both new and existing equipment.
4. Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment, performing diversified duties as required.
5. Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations, as well as scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
6. Demonstrate mechanical skills, including troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
7. Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform fabrication and installation tasks as needed.
8. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and adjust equipment as necessary.
9. Conduct PLC troubleshooting to ensure efficient equipment operation.
10. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
11. Identify faulty operations, defective material, and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
12. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Education & Experience:

- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; an Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred, with a Journeyman degree considered a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, with strong skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems, along with some PLC experience.
- Experience in PLC programming is advantageous, with a Master Electrician certification considered a plus.
