Research Engineer, Neuroscience & Algorithms (Generalist)

$145K - $200K + Competitive Equity

This team is developing next-generation implantable neurotechnology,  and they need an engineer who can bridge research, software, and machine learning in one unified workflow.

What You'll Do

You'll serve as a full-stack generalist on the Neuroscience & Algorithms team, helping build the infrastructure that turns brain signals into usable, reliable digital output. Your work will directly support patients and clinical teams.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing applications for high-precision, real-time neural data processing.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure and 3rd-party tooling supporting ML experimentation.

  • Build custom analysis libraries that power data science and machine learning workflows.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Neuroscience, Software, Systems, and Clinical teams to bring research prototypes into production.

  • Support developers integrating neural-interface tools into broader system architectures.

What You Bring

  • 110+ years of full-stack software development experience.

  • Strong emphasis on Python backend and Swift frontend.

  • Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and navigate undefined technical territory.

  • Passion for building impactful technology in healthcare, deep tech, or neuroscience.

Bonus:

  • Experience with real-time systems, ML pipelines, or computational neuroscience.

  • Comfort working directly with research teams and clinicians.

Compensation & Role Details

  • Salary: $145K- $200K (experience-dependent)
