Spring is an AI-native lender. In its first eight months it built its own loan management, payment rails and bank-transaction analysis software, which let it originate over $100 million in funding to consumer packaged goods brands in its first year.

Spring is now building the product that infrastructure was designed to power: an AI CFO agent that works across a brand's entire financial stack. It is a Series A company.

The Role

Spring is hiring a Founding Engineer (0-5 years) who can act as a self-motivated tech lead and ramp fast on its AI CFO agent and lending platform.

What You Will Do

• Build the AI CFO agent across deductions, email workflows and financial operations.
• Extend the in-house lending, payments and financial-analysis systems.
• Work AI-natively with coding agents every day.
• Own projects with little hand-holding as an early technical leader.

What You Bring

• 0-5 years of engineering (hard cap at 5)
• An excellence signal: notable startup, big tech or top university CS
• Strong Python backend fundamentals
• Daily use of AI coding tools

Nice to Have

• Quant or HFT engineering background
• Active GitHub, side projects or hackathon wins
