Staff / Principal ML Engineer Predictive Modelling for Alternative Assets
Full-time | Remote (North America) | $240K to $270K + Equity

The Role
This is a pivotal opportunity to own and evolve the company's core ML pricing model, the system that drives every transaction, cash advance, and asset valuation. You'll lead the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from data engineering and experimentation to scalable deployment and optimization.
You'll partner with quantitative analysts and domain experts to continuously improve the accuracy, speed, and cost-efficiency of the pricing and underwriting systems.
What You'll Do
Lead design, training, deployment, and optimization of large-scale ML pricing models.
Build and maintain the ML infrastructure using AWS, Docker, and Airflow.
Collaborate with pricing domain experts to engineer new features and predictive signals.
Run experiments and backtests to validate feature impact and improve model precision.
Manage model performance, optimize costs, and scale APIs for real-time workloads.
Drive technical direction and mentorship for future ML hires.
What You'll Bring
10+ years of total software experience, including 45 years focused on ML.
Expert in Python, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and pandas.
Proven MLOps experience (AWS, ECS, Docker, Airflow).
Strong understanding of model deployment, feature engineering, and experimentation.
Experience in pricing, risk modeling, or underwriting a strong plus.
Passion for alternative assets, trading, or collectibles.
