Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry is seeking a First-Party Property Associate with 2-5 years of experience for its downtown St. Petersburg, Florida office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated first-party property experience, including independent case management, taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and attending mediations and case management conferences/court hearings. The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter and able to manage tasks and deadlines independently while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Florida.
  • 2-5 years of experience in litigation. Experience in first-party property or insurance defense is preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
