As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical impairments. Your main responsibility will be to assist in the implementation of treatment plans and exercises designed by the Physical Therapist to help patients improve their mobility, strength, and overall physical function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and developing treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals

- Implement treatment plans and exercises as directed by the Physical Therapist

- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to improve their physical function and prevent further injury

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines for physical therapy practice

- Continuously stay updated on new techniques and advancements in physical therapy to provide the best possible care for patients

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution

- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a clinical setting

- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and modalities

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs

- Willingness to travel and work in different healthcare settings as needed
