As a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Medicine department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and helping to save lives in emergency situations. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the emergency medicine team

- Administer medications and perform procedures as needed

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and communicate results to patients and other healthcare professionals

- Provide patient education and counseling on disease prevention, treatment, and management

- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for patients

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Iowa

- Certification as a Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or a related field

- Excellent clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
