In this role, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including open heart surgery, heart transplants, and other complex procedures. You will work closely with a team of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including open heart surgery, heart transplants, and other complex procedures

- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed

- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create an individualized anesthesia plan for each patient

- Ensure patients are comfortable and safe during surgery by closely monitoring their condition and responding to any changes or emergencies

- Provide post-operative pain management and monitor patients in the recovery room

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia administration and patient progress

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in anesthesia techniques and equipment

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine

- Board certification in Anesthesiology

- Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia

- Active medical license in the state of New York

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physician Anesthesiologist, with a focus on cardiac procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

- Willingness to travel and work in different healthcare facilities
