Physician-Hospitalist Pediatrics

Travel Hire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to join our team in Utica, NY. 

This is a full-time position.

As a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician, you will provide specialized care to pediatric patients admitted to the hospital. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients, including newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of pediatric patients

- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the patient's primary care physician and other specialists

- Perform procedures such as intubation, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placements

- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions and treatment plans

- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to promote continuity of care

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records

Requirements:

- Medical degree from an accredited medical school

- Board certification in Pediatrics

- Valid medical license in the state of New York

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Hospitalist

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends

- BLS and PALS certification
