Veterinarian

Job Description:

As a Veterinarian at Travel Hire, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in our temporary clinic in Westport, CT. You will work closely with our team of veterinary technicians and assistants to ensure the well-being of our patients and provide excellent customer service to their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, and perform routine procedures such as vaccinations and spaying/neutering

- Communicate effectively with clients to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care

- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards

- Collaborate with other veterinarians and specialists to provide the best possible care for our patients

- Oversee the work of veterinary technicians and assistants, providing guidance and training as needed

- Keep up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution

- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Connecticut

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with small animals

- Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
