Job Title: Nursing Professional Development Consultant (Emergency Department Residency/Fellowship)
Location: Clackamas, OR, US
Type: Onsite, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, day shift
Salary: USD $113,800 $171,800 / yr
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate professional development programs for staff members.
- Conduct educational needs assessments, develop high-quality educational programs, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Partner with nursing leadership to develop evidence-based orientation, training, and competency assessment programs.
- Serve as a resource for individuals and groups, participate in research review, and incorporate evidence-based practices into educational activities.
- Mentor peers and colleagues, maintain clinical expertise, and pursue certification in Nursing Professional Development and clinical specialty.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of education experience and minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in specialty.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- License/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of current regulations and requirements (TJC, OSHA, OSBN).
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member, strong interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership/management experience, minimum five (5) years of education experience, and minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in acute care setting.
- Master's in nursing with focus on clinical specialty, certification in specialty practice (Nursing Professional Development and/or clinical specialty).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
