Job Title: Refrigeration Technician

Employment Type: Full Time, Onsite
Salary: USD $26.55 $37.85 / hr

Responsibilities:

• Perform robust preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems.
• Expertly handle emergency mechanical or electrical repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pump, pressure, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Understand boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR Basic NH3 Refrigeration schematics.
• Pass a HAZ-Mat physical and training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level and participate in the Emergency Response Team.
• Assist and support in the training and development of junior Refrigeration Technicians.
• Minimize downtime due to equipment and system failure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
• Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent overhead work.
• Temperatures inside plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
• Basic math skills; percentages, fractions, and measurements.

Requirements:

Non-negotiable Requirements:

1. Minimum of 6 months industrial refrigeration experience, or graduate of an industrial refrigeration program (e.g., possess a RETA 1 Operator License or Operator 1 License). Please list these on your application or resume.
2. Must have Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
3. Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance including Pneumatics, PLCs, Motor controls, and shop equipment operation desired.
