Maintenance Generalist

Job Title: Maintenance Generalist - All Shifts

Location: 64507, Saint Joseph, MO, US

Type: Onsite, Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: USD $25.49 $28.95 / hr

Earn up to a $5,000 Retention Bonus! $2,500 at 90 days. $2,500 at one year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, and scheduled service, and assist operators during changeovers.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area and equipment at all times.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment area to identify signs of wear, defects, and damage, and repair industrial equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Record all maintenance and repair services performed, and manage inventory of materials and parts used during the repair process.
• Study manufacturer manuals and blueprints, and follow instructions carefully when operating or setting up machinery or making repairs.
• Attend training sessions both onsite and offsite as required.
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding materials and parts needed for maintenance tasks.

Job Skills:

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, walking, climbing, lifting (20-70 pounds), and working in various environmental conditions (cold, heat, dampness).
• Basic computer skills for training and task completion.
• Proficiency in identifying parts and supplies needed for job tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and in team or individual settings.
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a collaborative spirit.

Non-negotiable Requirements:

• Maintenance mechanic experience in one of the following:
  1. One year of experience in industrial manufacturing.
  2. Two years in aircraft maintenance, agriculture maintenance, or military maintenance.
  3. Three years in automotive maintenance.
