Overview:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team onsite at the client facility in Johnston, IA. The role involves modernizing a series of mainframe solutions, with a focus on design, technical leadership, and adherence to project roadmap. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, and AWS services, along with a strong background in Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernization efforts of mainframe solutions, ensuring alignment with project roadmap and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, addressing technical roadblocks and challenges.
• Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and promote pair programming within the team.
• Utilize Typescript for both implementation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• 7+ years of experience in Javascript, especially Typescript.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud development.
• 4+ years of experience working in an Agile Environment.
• 2+ years of experience with Node.js.
• Proven experience mentoring junior software engineers.
• Proficiency in Test Driven Development across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with Paired Programming.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Information, or Software Engineering.
