Position: Senior Backend Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend systems, using a combination of Golang and Ruby on Rails. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable and robust solutions that meet our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain our backend systems using Golang and Ruby on Rails

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards

- Optimize and scale our systems to handle large volumes of data and traffic

- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements to our systems and processes

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years of experience in backend development using Golang and Ruby on Rails

- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles

- Experience with database design and management, particularly with MySQL or PostgreSQL

- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
