JOB SUMMARY / SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. The Branch Business Head is generally tasked to ensure that all policies, guidelines, procedures and internal controls set by the management and other regulatory bodies are complied with and undertaken by the department.
  2. The Branch Business Head is primarily responsible for deposit generation and the formulation and execution of strategic direction of the branch. This position represents leadership in establishing customer relationships, ensuring implementation of effective sales and management system while instituting and monitoring compliance to corporate standards & procedures to achieve volume targets, profitability and quality of accounts.
  3. The Branch Business Head shall ensure adherence to existing internal control procedures while maintaining the highest quality of service.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSILIBITIES:

Management:

  1. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the activities of the Branch to attain overall objectives and targets set by Management;
  2. Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures as well as BSP and all other applicable government rules and regulations;
  3. Markets the products and services of the bank;
  4. Implements service standards set by Management in order to offer the best service to the customers to foster continued Branch Patronage and Bank loyalty while establishes and maintains good business relations with the clients of the bank.
  5. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.

Operation:

  1. Overall in-charge on the marketing and operations of the Branch;
  2. Implements financial, operating and manpower budgets of the Branch laid down by Management; formulates plans and implements marketing strategies to promote and sell the products and services, including all product lines of the Bank geared towards the attainment of deposit growth and profitability targets for the year.
  3. Oversee branchs compliance with all internal, BSP, PDIC, and other government agencies rules and regulations in all Bank transactions.
  4. Responds and institutes corrective actions on audit exceptions, implements control measures and formulate monitoring systems to prevent recurrence of exceptions in order to promote operational efficiency.
  5. Reviews and finalized Branch replies to all audit reports as well as to correspondences from customers and government agencies
  6. Implements cross-posting of officers and associates within the Branch to achieve flexibility and control, as well as recommends training for career growth and advancement.
  7. Conducts monthly regular meetings with branch personnel to discuss operational problems, new policies and procedures and gathers feedback/suggestions to improve efficiency and customer service
  8. Attends to the needs of the customers of the Branch to develop and manage relationship and promote the Banks services; develops existing accounts; solicits prospective depositors through client calls; and, ensures that customers concerns, inquiries and complaints are promptly and efficiently attended to.
  9. Recommends potential borrowers to help promote loan products of the Bank.
  10. Confirms or approves transactions within limits of his authority and in accordance with Bank policy guidelines, such as but not limited to Account opening, back to back loans, various posting tickets, withdrawals, branch expenses, and ensures that all transactions in excess of his authority are approved by the appropriate approving officer/body; likewise, seeks approval for all transactions that require deviation.
  11. Aternates on the override of transactions for the Branch Service Officer/Branch Service Associates.
  12. Monitors the actual performance against budgeted targets, plans and standards; analyzes deviations; pinpoints areas for improvements; and, directs appropriate courses of action to ensure prompt and proper solution on a regular basis.
  13. Ensures coordination and harmonious working relations among the branch personnel and with other departments of the Bank
  14. Assumes the functions of the CSO in his absence with the approval from the BBD Head.
  15. Authorized Representative of the Branch in Divisions meeting within the Bank, as well as in various Associations and Community activities, to promote Banks image.
  16. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Branch Banking Division Head.
