JOB SUMMARY / SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. The Credit Review Assistant is generally tasked to ensure that all policies, guidelines, procedures and internal controls set by the management and other regulatory bodies are complied with and undertaken by the department.
  2. The Credit Review Assistant is primarily responsible for preparation of Credit Approval Memorandum (CAM) of certain loan products, evaluation and assessment borrowers character, financial capacity to pay, loan collateral, capital, and condition.
  3. The Credit Review Assistant shall ensure adherence to existing internal control procedures while maintaining the highest quality of service.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSILIBITIES:

Management:

  1. Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures as well as BSP and all other applicable government rules and regulations;
  2. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.

Operation:

  1. Establishes and confirms the borrowers source of income (through interview, trade checking, employment verification and ocular reports)
  2. Verifies essential information through bank checking, trade checking, employment verification, agency verification, vehicles history through government agencies and character references
  3. Confirms with the previous bank/financing company the status of account, and the authenticity of credit documents submitted by the borrower during loan application
  4. Interviews clients/borrowers and co-borrowers to verify data gathered by Accounts Analyst.
  5. Submits report of daily pending accounts to the immediate superior.
  6. Conducts phone verification of borrowers character reference, employment confirmation, and accreditation of business dealings by the borrower.
  7. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the CED Head.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

Education: Preferably a graduate of business, finance, economic, management or marketing degree with 9 units of accounting subjects.

Experience:Preferably with experience in Credit Management and Processes from a reputable banking/ financial services industry but not a requirement. Fresh graduates may qualify.

Others: Management and Customer Handling.
