JOB SUMMARY / SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. The Compliance Associates is generally tasked to ensure that all policies, guidelines, procedures and internal controls set by the management and other regulatory bodies are complied with and undertaken by the department
  2. The Compliance Associates is responsible delivering on time reports of covered and suspicious transactions to AML Compliance Officer. Implements and monitors Banks Compliance Program. Conducts compliance testing activities and prepares reports, expectation and recommendations.
  3. The Compliance Associates shall ensure adherence to existing internal control procedures while maintaining the highest quality of service.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSILIBITIES:

Operation:

  1. Implement and monitor the Corporate Compliance Program;
  2. Report to the CCO on a regular basis to review progress on program implementation and assist in improvement plans;
  3. Investigate complaints and coordinate action plans with other departments;
  4. Help the CCO to develop programs and activities that will encourage bank personnel to report suspected fraud or impropriety without fear or favor;
  5. Assist to develop and communicate the objectives of the Compliance Program and report accomplishments;
  6. Access records relevant to compliance monitoring activities and report findings;
  7. Maintain a log of communications received relevant to compliance;
  8. Compile reports of investigations conducted, findings and recommendations developed, action plans established, and progress noted;
  9. Establish and communicate reporting procedures and reporting modes available (e‐mail, voice mail, suggestion box, etc.);
  10. Interview internal and external customers periodically as needed and directed;
  11. Conduct unannounced surveys, inspections, audits and investigations periodically to assess personnel readiness and to specifically identify where corrective actions are needed;
  12. Re‐evaluate areas of previous noted deficiencies to identify needed improvements.

Custodianship:

Hard and soft copies of incoming and outgoing correspondences

General Authority:

Access to bank records in order to perform the assigned tasks.

Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitoring and submission of compliance related reports to regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

Education: Must possess at least a Bachelor/College Degree in Business Studies / Administration /Management/Banking and Finance or equivalent relative experience

Experience : Preferably with knowledge in banking/lending operations
