CONSULTANT GENERAL SURGEON

General Requirements

• Board Certified / Unencumbered License or registration from home country
• Minimum Post Graduate Specialist Degree in Surgery
  Minimum 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities
• Current BLS/ ACLS / PALS ATLS certification
• Adaptable and able to work in a multicultural team
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English

Job Specification

• Evaluate medical history, ordering diagnostic tests, and discussing treatment options
• Explaining surgical options, procedures, and potential risks to patients while obtaining informed consent
• Advise patients on pre-surgery protocols, such as medication adjustments and fasting instructions
• Perform complex surgeries (both open and minimally-invasive/laparoscopic) to repair injuries, remove diseased tissues, or correct deformities while adhering to regulatory and ethical protocols.
• Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures.
• Monitor patient recovery, prescribe medications, manage potential complications, and ensure proper wound healing
• Ensure sterility in the operating room, and all equipment and instruments
• Perform life-saving emergency procedures and coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Coordinating follow-up meetings with patients and monitoring their health condition post-surgery or treatment
