ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN

General Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in Anesthesia Technology. Additional certification an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Registered at a licensing authority
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Job Specification

• Supports clinical operations of the Anesthetic services
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and instruments related to anesthesia
• Monitor & record vital signs during anesthesia for surgical procedure & non-surgical sedations
• Assist for all intra vascular access, intubation, spinal, epidural and regional nerve block anesthesia & nasogastric tube insertion
• Cover any emergencies in ICU, Endoscopy, Radiology, etc.
• Follow biomedical waste management & infection control practices
• Moving patients to relevant areas in the hospital
• Administer anesthesia drug under supervision of anesthetists
• Request for blood and blood products from Blood Bank/send samples to laboratory
• Arrange anesthesia medicines & equipment for cases specific to need
