MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST

General Requirements

• Recognized Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Registered at a licensing authority
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Job Specification

• Conduct laboratory tests that aid in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases
• Perform routine tests in the laboratory from the event of sample collection to the event of reporting.
• Conduct laboratory testing in all the specific areas of laboratory such as biochemistry, immunology, hematology, clinical pathology, microbiology, histopathology, cytology, blood bank and molecular diagnostics
• Operate laboratory equipment and analyzers in order to perform laboratory tests
• Analyze data and record the findings
• Interpret the findings for study and scrutiny by doctors and physicians
• Perform all the delegated tasks given by the Pathologist, Chief or Assistant Chief Laboratory Technologist
