About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Power BI & Power Platform Specialist with 4+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in building interactive dashboards and data models using Power BI, while also being proficient in Microsoft Power Apps for building low-code applications. A strong understanding of enterprise data systems, including databases (SQL Server), ERP platforms, SharePoint, and APIs, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Power BI Development:
- Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Perform data modeling, DAX calculations, and create KPIs/metrics that align with business needs.
- Integrate Power BI with diverse data sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), parameterization, and incremental refresh for large datasets.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
Enterprise Systems & Integration:
- Understand and map data from underlying ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Oracle, or other enterprise systems).
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end data integration and validation.
- Collaborate with data engineers, DBAs, and IT support teams to ensure reliable data pipelines.
- Provide support for existing Power BI and Power Apps solutions, troubleshooting performance and data issues.
Analytics & Reporting Governance:
- Contribute to data quality, standardization, and documentation best practices.
- Support enterprise-wide data literacy by training users and creating usage guidelines.
- Assist in managing access control, workspace organization, and report publishing strategies in Power BI Service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing enterprise-grade BI dashboards and low-code apps.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M language), and Power BI Service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power Apps, especially Canvas Apps, along with Power Automate.
- Strong SQL skills; ability to write complex queries and understand relational/dimensional data models.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, REST APIs, and cloud connectors.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise with business and technical stakeholders.
- Exposure to Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Lake.
- Experience with Power Platform governance, security, and CoE toolkit.
- Understanding of licensing models, capacity planning, and performance optimization for Power BI and Power Apps.
- Design and develop responsive, user-friendly applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
- Automate workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
- Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint, Dataverse, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft services.
- Assist in governance, lifecycle management, and administration of Power Platform environments.
