Assistant Planning Manager

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day planning, supplies, and operations to ensure smooth production flow.
• Oversee the entire production plan including scheduling for manufacturing, packaging, raw material planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and imports/exports.
• Prepare production schedules based on sales forecasts (Annual Business Forecast ABF) and align with plant capacity.
• Execute dispatch plans in compliance with service level targets and customer commitments.
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, and Warehouse departments to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor physical inventory and ERP systems for material issuance, balances, and consumption tracking.
• Raise timely Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for local and imported materials based on lead times and actual requirements.
• Manage inventory levels of all components and finished goods to prevent overstocking or shortages.
• Track and ensure reliability of production output to meet delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with R&D and QC departments for updates to BOMs and artwork related to packaging materials.
• Support the development of new BOMs in line with new product launches or material changes.
• Implement and maintain planning strategies for working capital optimization, WIP management, and medium-to-long term alignment with sales forecasts.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• MBA/BS Engg (Mechanical) / Min 3-5 Years of experience

Preferred Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in production planning preferably in FMCG.
• Excellent Presentation and Data analytics skills required.
• Must be hands-on on MS office, Oracle (ERP), BI report analysis
• Excellent Influencing and communication Skills
• Must be Self-starter and High energy individual
• Mathematics skills related to the area of Statistics
• Be a tech savvy and enjoys learning in digital space
