The Deputy Manager Accounts plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of an organization's financial operations. This position reports to the BU Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily accounting activities: This includes managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and deadlines.
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
    • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
    • Participate in internal audits and address any concerns raised.
    • Analyze financial data: Identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
    • Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
    • Stay updated on accounting rules and regulations: Stay informed of changes in accounting standards and tax laws.
    • Liaise with other departments: Collaborate with departments such as sales, operations, and human resources to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.

Requirements

  • CA Inter
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting (manufacturing firm experience would be preferred)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis.
  • Proficient in Oracle ERP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
