About the Role
We are looking for a Solution Lead - Personalisation to join our team based in Melbourne (Hybrid). In this role, you will work with our client to lead the personalisation strategy and technical execution across their digital, email, and owned channels using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, and Adobe Target.
- Own the personalisation strategy and framework - designing the foundational architecture for how we personalise across digital, email, and owned channels.
- Build from the ground up - establish best practice standards, governance models, decision frameworks, guardrails and ethical principles for personalisation that the business can scale against. Including how audiences are built, how experiences are triggered, how tests are structured, and how results are measured.
- Get hands-on in the platforms - technically configure and validate personalisation tooling across Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Salesforce Data Cloud, and Adobe Target; this is not a PowerPoint-only role.
- Lead discovery and solutioning conversations with stakeholders across marketing, product, data, and engineering - translating business ambitions into executable technical designs.
- Champion best practice - proactively call out where shortcuts will create long-term debt, where tooling is being misused, and where there are smarter ways to achieve the outcome. Inspire confidence in personalisation as a capability, articulate the roadmap clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and build internal advocacy.
- Work across the Salesforce ecosystem - connecting Data Cloud segments and activations through to Marketing Cloud journeys and Adobe Target experiences in a coherent, joined-up way.
About the Candidate
Essential Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud - including journey builder, content personalisation, and integration patterns; Marketing Cloud Next experience highly regarded. Also able to configure data streams, unify profiles, build segments, and activate audiences; understanding of how Data Cloud powers real-time personalisation is essential.
- Passion and experience for AI is a must have either with Adobe target or Salesforce
- Adobe Target experience - able to set up A/B and multivariate tests, experience targeting, and recommendations; knows the platform well enough to configure it correctly, not just describe it.
- Exceptional communication skills - able to present complex technical concepts simply, challenge decisions, influence without authority, and adapt your message for engineers, marketers, and executives alike.
- Strong problem-solving ability - able to navigate ambiguity, work across competing constraints (speed vs. quality, personalisation vs. privacy), and find pragmatic paths forward.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience - comfortable working at the intersection of marketing, data engineering, product, and technology teams.
- Understanding of consent and privacy in personalisation - experience building guardrails and governance frameworks that protect customer trust while enabling relevant experiences.
- Experience with audience segmentation and CDP strategy - understanding of how to structure data models to power personalisation at scale.
