About the role

As Iteration Manager, you will be tasked with tracking the sprint progress, report impediments, making sure sprint goals are on track, managing bottlenecks in the delivery process, managing timelines, sprint priorities, and work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Design (UX) and platform teams throughout the entire end to end feature build phases.

You will have a strong background in Agile / Scrum, release and environment management with previous experience in dev/ops experience. You also have a strong technical awareness of the technical domain. You will also provide clear change and communication to the group when required and provide clear visibility and transparency of work in progress.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills required to present and report to internal and external stakeholder and appreciate business strategy, product direction, and high level technical architecture (e.g., SPA frameworks / libraries such as React, Content Management Platforms like AEM, Micro-services architecture), so they can facilitate decisions with right stakeholders to get quality outcomes.

Specifically, this role will be responsible for;

  • End to end planning and the delivery and outcomes of squad/s and be the focal point of contact to the business and leadership teams
  • Leading and facilitating quarterly planning for all squads to ensure all business objectives are translated into a coherent delivery plan which is clearly visible, communicated and tracked on a regular basis with their squad/hub leads
  • Initiating, developing, and maintaining strong and effective internal and external stakeholder communication
  • Championing the continuous improvement of delivery, quality, platform, and customer-valued release
  • Collecting and utilising data and metrics to lead decision making and process improvement.
  • Coaching squads on Agile ways of working, fostering continuous improvement to grow agile maturity, resilience and high performance
  • Guiding and educating the team on self-organising to fully realise the potential of Agile/Scrum frameworks and improving agility of teams
  • Partnering with product management to drive clarity of business priority within squads and ensure an active backlog is consistently well maintained
  • Enabling the team to deliver on sprint objectives by removing impediments and seeking clarity from key stakeholders to achieve business and customer outcomes
  • Facilitating Scrum Cadences such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint planning, Review & Showcases
  • Coordinating customer release activities in strong collaboration with other technology teams where required
  • Enabling teams to manage our technology platform risk through supporting continued uplift in security and obsolescence footprint
  • Management of project vendor relationships and dependencies.
  • Providing Agile specific project status reporting, e.g. Iteration Burn-down and Release Burn-up charts and Feature progress.
  • Leading the post implementation support.
  • Leading the transition to support activities such as knowledge management to support team

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require;

  • A minimum of 3+ years IT/Digital platform delivery experience
  • Experience managing / leading Scrum teams
  • Expertise in Digital teams and Agile ways of working
  • Experience in software development process, online design and usability principles
  • Iteration Manager certification (or equivalent) to support agile best practice or experience in managing delivery squads / scrum teams
  • Expertise with high level technical architecture including SPA frameworks / libraries including React and AEM Content Management Platforms.
