Position Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, management accounts preparation and analysis, budgetary control and management of operating expenditure. Working with key stakeholders across the organisation; the CEO and the Management team, the Board and where necessary external partners; shareholders and or financial institutions, delivering the financial outcomes of the business strategy. The successful candidate will be energetic to thrive in a fast pace environment, have exceptional spoken and written English, a lust for learning, more than just a number-cruncher, with an innate ability to analyse financial information and disseminate credibly across all level of the business up to Executive level.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Overall control of the company’s finance function

· Management of financial contractual arrangements, understanding of the impact to the P/L over the life of the contract

· Supplier and contract management, providing regular updates to the Management Board

· Financial planning and related ongoing advice for the CEO and the Management Board

· Formulating financial targets and budgets following the strategy determined by the Board

· Overall responsibility for all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit, systems, tax, VAT analysis and reporting

· Prepare and review of monthly management accounts for us and our clients

· Work with and assist the management team to grow the businesses formulating strategies and planning

· Lead and manage the annual budget process and taking initiatives in controlling costs appropriately

· Ongoing management of cash flow, invoicing, management fees and associated rebates

· Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly reports, including regulatory submissions

· Providing information for and liaising with external auditors

· Management of sales and purchase ledgers

· Managing compliance with and payment of all payroll taxes including benefits in kind and PAYE sharing agreement

· Capital Adequacy calculations, monitoring and regulatory submission

· Maintaining the company’s fixed asset register

· Corporate policy oversight, including insurance

· Production of rate card and pricing structure for business

· Record retention and archiving

· Financial analysis and independent valuation of unquoted securities

Technical Skills, Experience and Qualifications Expected

· Must have financial services experience

· Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent (min 5 years post qualified)

· Strong understanding of investments, fund and products within the Financial Service industry

· Strong PC skills including Excel, Sage, Pegasus or relevant accounting package

· Reading appropriate material relevant to the financial services industry and maintaining CPD
