Position: Speech Language Pathologist - Geriatric

Salary Range: $40-$45 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation

Experience level: No new graduates accepted

Facility: 77 bed facility

 As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with elderly patients to help them improve their communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in geriatric patients

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients

- Use evidence-based techniques and approaches to improve communication and swallowing abilities

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients

- Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve communication and swallowing

- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

- Stay updated on latest research and techniques in the field of speech language pathology

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

- Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geriatric patients

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Knowledge of evidence-based techniques and approaches in speech language pathology
