Pay Package
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,914/week
Travel compensation packages may include a mix of taxable pay and stipends, depending on eligibility.
Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a hospital-based inpatient rehab unit in Richmond, VA.
This role involves treating patients with complex conditions, including stroke and neurological impairments, within a collaborative rehab team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide therapy focused on neurological rehab, stroke recovery, and functional independence

Deliver interventions including:

Neuromuscular re-education
-
Therapeutic exercises and activities
-
Self-care training (ADLs)
-
Functional electrical stimulation
-
-
Utilize equipment such as Sara lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
-
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech Expanse
-
Collaborate with PT, SLP, and interdisciplinary care teams
-
Participate in patient care conferences and discharge planning
-
Float to acute hospital units as needed based on census
Requirements
-
Active Virginia OT License
-
Minimum 2 years of hospital experience REQUIRED

Inpatient rehab experience preferred
-
Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment REQUIRED

Strong knowledge of neuro rehab techniques and ADLs
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Assignment Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts)
-
Hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekend rotation required
-
Patient ratio: ~4:1

Unit size: 44 beds
-
Team includes OT/PT teams, SLPs, and rehab techs
-
Floating required when rehab census is low
