Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Salary Range: $40 - $45 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week, 3/12 hour nightshift, every other weekend rotation Location: Skilled nursing facility with a vent unit, offering post-hospital, short term rehab, and long term care services. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a vent unit and providing respiratory care to patients in a post-hospital setting. This position will require working 3/12 hour nightshifts and every other weekend rotation. Key Responsibilities: - Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the vent unit - Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians - Monitor and evaluate patients' response to treatments and make necessary adjustments to care plans - Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to patients - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies and procedures Qualifications: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy - Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a vent unit or acute care setting - BLS and ACLS certification - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work nightshifts and every other weekend rotation We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as a supportive and collaborative work environment.
