Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant (P-Occupational Therapy Assistant) Salary Range: $44-$49 per hour Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation Facility: 126-bed healthcare facility Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at our 126-bed healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve their maximum level of independence and function. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to provide high-quality care and treatment to our patients. Key Responsibilities: - Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients - Conduct therapy sessions with patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist - Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the Occupational Therapist - Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and exercises to improve function and independence - Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients - Maintain a clean and organized therapy area - Stay updated on current trends and advancements in occupational therapy Qualifications: - Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program - Current state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques - Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and assisting patients - Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $44-$49 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
