Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Salary Range: $41.54-$45.65 per hour
Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)
Travel Required: Yes, between two sites approximately 12 miles apart
Facilities: The Oaks (60 beds) and Miona (88 beds)
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech language pathology and incorporate new techniques into practice
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to travel between two facilities approximately 12 miles apart
