Schedule: 8–10 Hour Day Shifts | 40 Hours Per Week
Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care setting at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.
The Physical Therapist will work with hospitalized patients requiring rehabilitation services to restore mobility, improve strength, and support recovery from illness, injury, or surgical procedures. The role involves evaluating patients, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments
Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
Implement therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training
Provide gait training and balance interventions
Assist patients with post-operative and injury rehabilitation
Educate patients and caregivers on recovery and home exercise programs
Document treatment progress in the facilitys EMR system
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation teams to coordinate care
Patient Population
Patients in this acute care setting may include individuals recovering from:
Orthopedic injuries and surgeries
Neurological conditions
Cardiopulmonary conditions
Trauma or post-surgical procedures
General mobility impairments
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist License (required at submission)
BLS Certification
Experience in acute care or hospital-based therapy preferred
