Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a high-priority outpatient role at a Kaiser facility in Portland, OR.

This position requires a strong background in outpatient therapy and orthopedic-related cases, working with diverse patient populations in a structured clinical environment.

Facility & Work Setting

• Setting: Outpatient Clinic
• Facility Type: Kaiser Permanente (Critical Need)
• Schedule: 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40/week

Key Responsibilities

Evaluation & Diagnosis

• Conduct speech, language, and swallowing evaluations
• Assess cognitive-communication disorders
• Develop treatment plans based on clinical findings

Therapy & Treatment

• Provide individualized therapy for:
  • Speech and language disorders
  • Cognitive communication deficits
  • Swallowing disorders (if applicable)
• Apply evidence-based treatment techniques

Care Planning & Monitoring

• Track patient progress and adjust interventions
• Set functional, measurable goals

Collaboration

• Work closely with physicians and rehab team
• Educate patients and caregivers

Documentation

• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
• Follow Kaiser protocols and EMR standards

Requirements

Must Have

Active Oregon SLP License
BLS Certification
Minimum 3+ years Outpatient Experience
Strong orthopedic outpatient experience

Preferred

Prior Kaiser experience
Travel experience
Strong interdisciplinary communication
